HR Manager [Finland]

With a global reach spanning 23 countries and over 230 million subscribers, we are looking for an exceptional HR Manager to join our team with a temporary contract (study leave substitution). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our innovative culture and fostering a positive working community on a global scale.

As an HR Manager at Qvantel, your responsibilities will include working across all levels of the HR spectrum—strategic, operational, and tactical—with a primary focus on Finland, while also overseeing global tasks. Building robust business relationships across various company domains is crucial to ensure cross-functional collaboration aligned with our business goals and strategy. You will actively support managers in end-to-end HR processes, covering aspects such as performance management, employee relations, retention, hiring, and employment termination.

Your role extends to executing talent management strategies that facilitate growth and individual development plans. With a specific focus on Finland, Estonia, and Italy, you will be responsible for people process execution, employee relations, people processes, local people reporting and payroll management (payroll is external, but you are on top of the process). Additionally, maintaining employee benefit programs, overseeing employee engagement initiatives, and ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management will be integral to your role.

Work Location: Helsinki/ Jyvaskyla

This is Fixed term position for 14 Months.

Responsibilities:

  • Work at all levels of the HR stack—strategic, operational, and tactical—with a primary focus on Finland and global responsibilities.
  • Build strong business relationships across the company to ensure cross-functional collaboration aligned with business goals and strategy.
  • Support managers in end-to-end HR processes, including performance management, employee relations, retention, hiring, and employment termination.
  • Execute talent management strategies to support growth and individual development plans.
  • Manage people process execution in Finland, Estonia, and Italy.
  • Handle local people reporting.
  • Maintain employee benefit programs and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Engage in capacity building with the global HR team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as an HR Manager or other relevant HR position.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and interpretation.
  • People-oriented and results-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Capabilities to interpret and develop people data analytics.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Finnish and English.
  • Self-starter, business minded, independent, results-oriented, and attentive to details.
  • Eager to develop yourself professionally.
