Job Overview
- Reporting to our Senior Project Manager, the incumbent of this post will need to understand the needs and demands of the Project and provide appropriate and timely advise to ensure HSE targets and objectives are achieved.
Main Duties
- Promote sound working relationships with the Main Contractor and sub-contractor(s), understand their requirements and share the knowledge across all personnel engaged with the project.
- Ensure implementation and management, within the Project, of all the QSHE policies, processes, and systems.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental processes and systems deliver the needs of the Project.
- Develop positive relationship with the Main Contractor and sub-contractor(s) to ensure Health & Safety systems and policies are understood and delivered.
- Provide practical management and assistance in the achievement of Project objectives on site.
- Advise the Senior Project Manager / Project Manager and Health & Safety Manager, Main contractor and sub-contractor(s) on their respective duties and responsibilities with regards to Health & Safety as well as Environmental requirements.
- Provision of full Health & Safety support to Main Contractor and sub-contractor(s), to ensure fully compliant project delivery.
- Continually review Health & Safety processes, procedures and amend/improve as required.
- Prepare a weekly report and up-date on Health & Safety performance, to include targets and objectives of the project.
- Take responsibility for the overall Health & Safety management in liaison with the Health & Safety Manager.
- Attend / facilitate on site Health & Safety meetings and presentations.
- Support and co-ordination as required of Project Health & Safety training as required.
- Reporting accident / incidents, in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015.

- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Lead Auditor ISO 45001 – Health & Safety
- Lead Auditor ISO 14001
- Legislation enforcement experience
- Environmental qualification
Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience on Environmental Inspection/ Monitoring
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and Standards
- Understanding and implementing RoC or SBA Environmental Legislation related to Pollution Control, Waste Management and Nature Protection.
- Previous experience in working within the Ministry of Defence Estate environment.
